As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am part of my schools eco club and this week we were cleaning up the gardens around our school. Yesterday, we started off by clearing the memorial garden for the previous school gardener. The cleanup operation went very well and the garden looks much tidier now. We are hoping to continue the tidy ups all around the school and get all of the gardens looking this immaculate very soon!
|My 68 hour log – complete|
As you may know, over the past 9 months I have been taking part in the Kuk Sool won Junior Leadership instructor training programme. Only a few of the senior Black Belts were introduced to the programme and I was fortunate enough to be one of them. Over the Past 9 months, I have been attending the classes before mine to help instruct and assist in the class. Last week, I completed my last piece of written homework in my log book along with completing my last 1 hour helping session. Altogether I have completed 68 hours of assisting and I am very proud of myself after completing the programme. I have now been set my final task before I receive my certificate and this is to produce an essay on why I like being black belt in Kuk Sool and what I have got out of it. I plan on completing this essay next week (in the half term) as I will have all day to think about it if I sit down to do it one day.
As I am completely dry on ideas of what to write about, I thought I might as well just do some lists, so here is my first!
(some of these may not be social networks in your books but I think they all act the same as social networks)
As you may know, I have been participating in the traditional Korean Martial Art of Kuk Sool Won since the age of 5, currently I am a 1st Degree Black Belt and will start testing for my Second Degree very shortly. As I haven’t been posting very much recently, I thought it might be a good idea to share this short clip from ITV’s show, “Let’s Get Gold” in July 2012. In this clip you will see Kuk Sool Won of Livingston perform a few routines and moves from this martial art. Kuk Sool Won of Livingston are more into their acrobatics etc. so there will be a lot of that incorporated as well… Enjoy!
As you may know, I am involved in my school’s Eco Group. Over the last few weeks we have been preparing for out big launch in the Solar Schools Project, run by 10:10. We went live on Wednesday 10th October but sadly the council screwed up and when we were in the media, people were unable to donate to us. Yesterday, the credit card linking problems were resolved and we have now raised £35, we would really appreciate it if you could get involved and donate just £5. Our total target is £30,000 and we are hoping to reach it by the end of this school year. If you would like to find out more about the project, please take a minute to visit these links:
